Inform Research believes strongly in using research to challenge and overcome inequalities and social injustice. We have undertaken a wide range of research projects involving third, public and private sector organisations on equalities including the gender pay gap and women returners and people from minority ethnic communities and asylum seekers and refugees.
The majority of our clients approach us with a view to helping others, with health and wellbeing at the forefront. We have provided community profiles and research to support funding bids for health and wellbeing related programmes and have used our skills to develop and support a network or addiction support services to develop plans for a pioneering programme to tackle drug deaths in Scotland.
Engaging communities, statutory bodies, third sector organisations and private large private sector companies to make change and inform decision making is central to much of Inform Research's work. We recognise the importance of effective engagement and the impact this can have and have vast experience of community engagement in tackling poverty.
Inform Research has vast experience of tackling poverty and social exclusion through research and an understanding of the impact poverty has on families and communities. We have engaged with people with lived experiences of poverty to influence policy and have supported community organisations to develop new initiatives to tackle poverty at a local level.
Inform Research has worked with a range of organisations seeking to support asylum seekers and refugees, developing new ideas for support and creating an understanding of what makes a difference.
Inform Research has worked extensively with faith groups across Scotland, supporting local churches to develop new ideas and initiatives and working strategically to support central and national bodies, including developing a strategic five-year plan.
